Korea Travels - Day 7, Seorak Park Trail 1 Geumganggul Cave

The rocks were not that bad to climb, but they were showing us how out of shape we were. There were a lot of people who were heading back down like they were on an escalator. They were moving fast. We decided to take a break and look at the view. Pretty good so far.


Oh wait, here are the stairs. Unfortunately, it looks like there are 645. We started counting way too soon...


The stairs are mixture of metal stairs and rocks. However, there is a handrail now, which I kept a white knuckled deathgrip on. Not too many pictures were taken on the way up. Even though we were on stairs, now, I still felt like I was climbing more than stepping. The step height and step spacing was variable. For my short legs, some were quite a stretch.



Boy, we are glad we didn't have to use these stairs.
