Korea Travels - Day 7, Serok National Park

Wednesday, October 14, 2005.

Ah, fresh mountain air. The Seoraksan Nature Reserve is located on the northern part of the Taebaek range and covers 40,441 acres.

We hiked three different trails today, approximately 10 miles total. Compared to Yosemite, the sites were not as good, but the trails were much more difficult. We were amazed at the number of rest areas along the trails. Not only were toilets available, but food and gifts, too.

Surprisingly, you could also call and chat. We were surprised at the number of people talking on cell phones. Also, the number of people in suits and ties was not expected. Especially on the hiking trails!
