Korea Travels - Day 7, Seorak Park Trail 1 Bisondae Rock

After an easy walk, we arrived at Biseondae. This area was a series of flat rocks that are set into the river. During times of heavy rain, the runoff water flows down over layers of rocks, forming a series of waterfalls. According to legend, a fairy went up to Heaven from these falls. Biseon literally means a "fairy ascending to Heaven.” After Bisondae, the trail seemed to go straight up! Of course it didn’t, but it felt like it.

I love the rock coloration.
