Korea Travels - Day 3, Demonstration and Riot Control

On the way back from the river, we accidently walked into a demonstration by the American Embassy. Apparently the demonstration was a group of college students upset that their president stole all their money. He apparently embezzeled all of the tuition for that year. That would make me upset.

We weren't exactly sure what was going on at first. There were no road blocks or anything. Just tons of police sitting on their riot gear. They were crouched down next to buildings for as far as we could see. We weren't the only ones that walked into it. Most people didn't even stop and look. It was very interesting.

We weren't intimidated until they all stood up at once and started pounding and yelling. We left fast and headed into the subway tunnel. Below are some pictures we took when we first walked into it.
